New Delhi, April 4, 2013: Baisakhi is celebrated with a lot of fun and gaiety as it depicts that the harvest is ready to be reaped. A good harvest makes the farmers very happy and they enjoy a lot as they celebrate this time of the year. This was dramatised by the Pre-Nursery and KG teachers & children in the special assembly held in the school. The Nursery children performed a Punjabi dance, while the KG children performed a Bhangra dance. The other children enjoyed the Baisakhi Mela set in a village of Punjab created by the Pre-School students.

New Delhi, March 26, 2013: The programme witnessed Pre-School children boarding the Apeejay Express, the joy ride and the Orientation Express which lasted for 8 days (19th March to 26th March, 2013) which were full of fun and frolic besides getting acquainted with the teachers and school. Children were welcomed with a ‘tikka’ and ‘garland’ at the Pre-Primary gate which was decorated with balloons and they were photographed with their parents as they entered the school. A sweet ‘pedha’ was also part of the welcome.

Children indulged in a lot of indoor and outdoor activities like singing, dancing, colouring, tearing and pasting, hand printing, thumb printing, organised games, playing on the play station, etc. The magic show and puppet show enthralled the nursery children. A nourishing lunch snack was enjoyed by the students on all the days.

An album with a photograph of their first teacher and their first day at school was their gift at the end of the orientation programme.

PALLAV-2013New Delhi, March 2, 2013: The Pre-Primary wing of the School celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day, PALLAV 2013 in the month of March 2013. Ms. Kamla Bhasin, author of children’s story books & Ms. Simi Srivastava, Founder Director of Kathashala and Master Story Teller were the main guests on the occasion.

The programme started with a dream sequence followed by a dream song. The classic children’s story, ‘Snow White and Seven Dwarfs’, was presented with a new twist by the Nursery children. Few KG children acted as Sutradhaar as they wove the show together in a beautiful manner. KG children, dressed as beautiful dolls from around the world, presented colourful dances on foot tapping music.

The Grand Finale was a Quwali wherein all the participants joined in, singing and dancing. The aim was to spread the message of love, peace and harmony. Every person in the audience was enthralled and mesmerised. The children who had performed consistently well in various fields were awarded by the Chief Guest.

Apeejay Pre-Primary celebrated its Annual appreciation Day – Pallav-2012 Mr. Narendra Chanchal, the renowned singer and Mr. J.S. Bajaj an IAS officer graced the occasion and gave away the prizes to the young achievers who had excelled in different fields. The name given to the programme was ‘Bubbles’. It denoted that children are beautiful, colourful and transparent like Bubbles. They learn to go up when encouraged and appreciated but wilt when discouraged or abused. The programme consisted of beautiful and colourful dance presentations by all nursery sections and dance drama based on the life of Lord Krishna  by KG students. Angels on skates i.e. The best skaters from all KG sections gave a spectacular presentation on the song “ AASMAAN SE BAADAL AAYE in the end the grand finale was held wherein all the participants went around the auditorium like bubbles and danced on a parady of all the songs presented that day. Overall, the programme was a huge success appreciated by one and all.

Orientation was the first station wherein the Pre-School children boarded the Apeejay Express. The Joy ride on board, the Orientation Express lasted 7 days These seven days were days full of fun and frolic. Besides getting acquainted with the teachers and school children indulged in a lot of indoor and outdoor activities like Singing, Dancing, Colouring, Tearing and Pasting, Hand Printing, Thumb Printing, Organized Games, Playing on the play station etc. Children were welcomed with a ‘tikka’ and ‘garland’ at the Pre-primary gate which was decorated with balloons and they were photographed with their parents as they entered the school. It was a satisfying experience for all i.e. children, parents and teachers.
