New Delhi, April 10, 2021: The Principal, In-charges, and teachers of the Pre-Primary and Primary Wing of Apeejay School, Saket, underwent a day-long online training session to implement the ‘Awakening Citizen Program’ at school. The workshop organised by the Ramakrishna Mission and Apeejay Education saw participation from Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, Saket, Pitampura, Faridabad, and Noida. The inaugural address by Dr V.S. Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education and Swami Shanta ji threw light upon the long association with the Ramakrishna Mission through the ‘Awakened Citizen Program’ - a value-based program being implemented in classes VI, VII & VIII.

The idea that core values are learnt at a very young age is indisputable. The Awakening Citizen Program is a well-thought-out program and will run at all Apeejay institutions as a pilot project in this session. Interesting stories and activities are designed such that students listen, imbibe, learn by discussion, thinking, and speaking out their minds. They are encouraged to share, care and express as independent minds.
