New Delhi, July 3, 2024: Ms. Ashu Khattar, Vice Principal of Apeejay School, Saket, conducted an insightful workshop on "Assessment in Education: Preparing Test Items" for the teaching faculty of the school. The session primarily focused on the development of objective-type items and the key considerations for making these questions competency-based. The Vice Principal emphasized the importance of aligning assessments with learning outcomes and introduced various formats of objective questions, including multiple-choice, true/false, and matching items and analogy items.

The workshop delved into the nuances of crafting effective objective items. The importance of creating distractors that are plausible yet clearly incorrect, and demonstrated how to frame questions that assess specific competencies, were stressed upon.

Through interactive exercises, teachers practiced developing questions that not only evaluate subject knowledge but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and application skills. The session concluded with an interactive exercise where teachers framed innovative test items.

New Delhi, July 2, 2024: On 2 July 2024, Ms. Ritesh Sharma, the Senior Academic Coordinator, conducted an engaging workshop on Elements of Productive Pedagogy for the teaching faculty of Apeejay School, Saket. To foster discussion, Ms. Sharma posed thought-provoking questions, which led to a brainstorming session on strategies like higher-order thinking and substantive conversation. The workshop also covered recognising and valuing student differences and connecting classroom learning to real-world contexts, with participants sharing successful examples from their experiences.

New Delhi, April 27, 2024: Teachers Workshop 'SALSA - A fusion of self-encompassing themes' conducted by Dr Deepika Dahima on April 27, 2024, was a transformative experience for the teaching faculty of Apeejay School, Saket. Dr Dahima, a Counseling Psychologist shone through as she guided attendees through a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. The interactive sessions on emotional resilience, perspective shift and skillset identification were thoughtfully designed to engage participants. Through engaging activities and insightful discussions, attendees gained valuable insights into managing emotions effectively, broadening their perspectives and recognising & expressing their unique strengths and skills.

New Delhi, April 20, 2024: To reiterate the importance of imparting life skills to educators and learners, Apeejay School, Saket organised a transformative session for its teachers. The session was conducted by Dr Nisha Singh, is a seasoned trainer and resource person in Education.

The focus of the session was on the pivotal role of ‘soft skills’, also known as ‘life skills’, in shaping holistic education. Dr Singh emphasised that while academic knowledge is crucial, soft skills play an equally vital role in preparing students for real-world challenges. She highlighted the importance of skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking and emotional intelligence, stressing that these skills are essential for students to thrive in their personal and professional lives. The session served as a valuable reminder to educators of the profound impact soft skills have on shaping well-rounded individuals and the importance of integrating them into the educational framework effectively.

New Delhi, April 01, 2024: The Teachers’ Induction/Orientation session at Apeejay School, Saket began with an auspicious start as everyone gathered for a prayer. Leading the session was the esteemed School Principal as his expertise guided faculty members on the school's ethos. The Academic Coordinator, shared her wealth of experience to guide faculty through their roles, covering curriculum expectations, teaching methodologies, assessment strategies and the school's vision. This session provided new faculty with insights into the school's culture, while existing members received updates and enhancements to their teaching practices.

The second day featured various process owners explaining their roles and processes, enriching teachers' understanding. Also, a Moodle training session on April 2 was conducted where Mr Deepak Bhalla, efficiently guided teachers on handling the e-Learning platform, ensuring effective utilisation of resources.
