New Delhi, Dec 20, 2019: Apeejay School, Saket, showcased the glorious journey and saga of hope ‘TARANGINI’ at the Annual Appreciation Day on December 20, 2019. They presented an outstanding in-house musical event – on the water crisis and plight of our glorious rivers. Conceptualized by the School Principal, Mrs Smita Amit and staff members of the School, a 'Conclave to Confluence' saga culminated in the presentation of the wonderful play.
Apeejay School, Saket, continues to make our students successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens. As part of their grooming process, 400 students actively participated this year in a cultural extravaganza showcasing their talents as theatre artists, musicians, vocalists, dancers.
Mrs Smita Amit accorded a green welcome to the Chief Guest, Mrs Meenakshi Lekhi, Member of Parliament, the Guest of Honour, Pt. Deepak Maharaj, son of Pt. Birju Maharaj, the special invitees, reputed luminaries of Apeejay Education Society, Principals of sister Apeejay Schools, alumni, and parent community. The Annual School Report was read out by the Principal. Around 60 School toppers and achievers received their prizes and laurels in the august presence of the dignitaries.
The vibrant performances were highly appreciated by the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour as well as the parents who applauded the efforts of the students. While each river has a tale to tell, each of our holy rivers appealed to the audience in a witty way to be more sensitive and committed towards saving them.
The play concluded with the message ‘It is we who have to be crusaders and path breakers in this existential movement. Let us save our rivers.’
