New Delhi, Aug. 28, 2015: Science Week was organised in the School from 24th August to 28th August 2015 with an objective to demonstrate the importance and relevance of Science for the future development of society. Many events were organised as part of the eventful week and students from all classes enthusiastically participated in them. The Science Department in the Primary Wing also organised interesting activities to sensitise students towards flora and fauna. The Senior School presented a special assembly on ‘Science as a Way of Life’. A tribute was paid to late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the missile man of India and a devout scientist. Various hands-on-activities were organised for students in the Science labs to engage them with in-depth investigation of objects and ideas & help them to infer and analyse from those experiences. Special assemblies conducted during the week demonstrated the significance and relevance of Science in the development of society. A poster-making and slogan-writing event was also organised for classes VI to X. The different competitions held during the week generated interest and love for Science amongst young learners and benefitted them to garner more knowledge.
