New Delhi, Aug. 15, 2018: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at Apeejay School, Saket, wherein Lt. General Vinod Bhatia (Retired) PVSM, AVSM, SM honoured the function as the Chief Guest, along with Mrs Bhatia and a few PTA members. The tricolour was hoisted in the ground amidst joyful rendition of the National Anthem. The cultural extravaganza portrayed India’s rich cultural diversity. It consisted of a medley of patriotic songs, percussion harmony, Bharatnatyam dance, thought provoking Hindi play and self-composed poems by students of various classes. The Pledge of Devotion to our nation was administered by the School Principal, Ms Smita Amit. The guests were very appreciative of this heartwarming tribute to the nation.

New Delhi, July 27, 2018: The Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Maths Quest 2018, a two-day annual event held in the memory of late Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul, was organised on 26th and 27th July 2018, at Apeejay School, Saket.

The 7th Annual Dr Stya Paul Memorial Maths Quest had students from more than 28 leading schools of Delhi and NCR participating in it. Dr Deepak Sharma, Professor, School of Life Sciences, JNU, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Maths Quest commenced with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation song to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The School Principal, Ms Smita Amit, delivered the welcome address. Six competitions – Math-O-Art, Logic-O-Run, Mathematics Relay, Model Making, Maths Quiz and Mathematics Extempore began at different venues of the school. Students from participating schools contributed enthusiastically.

Once the competitions concluded, the valedictory function was organised at the school auditorium. Two talented students, Shivoham and Anurag, presented a PowerPoint presentation on 'Mathematics in Dance'. A Kathak dance to showcase the importance of synchronization & symmetry in Mathematics was presented. Students victorious in the six competitions were awarded with trophies. The overall trophy ‘Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Maths Quest 2018’ was won by The Indian School.

On the second day of the event, Mathematics’ faculty from the participating schools presented papers on different teaching methodologies. Mr Ram Avtar and Mr Satya Bhushan from NCERT were the esteemed judges for this event. The ‘Best Paper Award’ was bagged by Ms Alka Kanwar from The Indian School and the ‘Second Best Paper Award’ was bagged by Ms Monia Katyal of Paul George Global School.

New Delhi, July 26, 2018: The Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club of Apeejay School, Saket, was held on July 26, 2018. Rtn. R.V. Kanoria, President, Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown, Rtn. Dr Neha Berlia, Member, Management Board, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chair Rotaract/Interact, along with other eminent Rotarians graced the Ceremony with their presence.

The Ceremony commenced with the National Anthem. It was followed by lighting of the lamp with rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the School Choir. The School Principal, Ms. Smita Amit, gave a green welcome to Rtn. Dr Neha Berlia, who addressed and inspired the students to get more involved in the community service. Zahra Khalid, the outgoing President of the Interact Club of Apeejay School, Saket, shared about the projects accomplished.

Vartika Vani of Class XI was formally installed as the new President. She presented her action plan for the session 2018-19. She, along with the new team of office bearers consisting of a Vice President, a Treasurer, Secretary, Sergeant at arms and a Director each from classes VI to XII, took an oath administered by Rtn. R.V. Kanoria, President Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown.

A highly inspirational, enthralling and musical cultural programme comprising a musical Sufi taraana presentation, a Kathak dance depicting Raas Leela and a thought provoking dance on ‘Education - Road Ahead’ was presented. Rtn. R.V. Kanoria appreciated the work done by the Club under the guidance of Ms. Smita Amit.

New Delhi, April 2018: Apeejay School, Saket successfully hosted its annual cultural event, Chunauti 2018. The Chief Guest for the event was a freelance journalist and writer, Ms. Sanjula Sharma. A series of innovative and interesting competitions including Arty Bottle (carpet colouring of the bottle), French song L'Enfance, QFiest quizzing Indian History, Wave it - creating models depicting waves (Physics), Dialogue in Verse - reciting poetry with a difference by ten year olds, Duet Lok Geet showcasing cultural diaspora, fitness first through ‘chand minute yog’ and weaving stories in Hindi in ‘Shiksha Sang Katha Ka Rang’ – the eight competitions held at the various venues. Students from classes III to XI of about 27 schools from Delhi and NCR enjoyed participating in the events and making it a success.

New Delhi, April 2018: 74 students of the Junior and Senior wings of Apeejay School, Saket were sworn in as the incumbents of the newly constituted Prefectorial Board, to take on the charter of responsibilities for the session 2018-19.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms Vijyanta Arya, Additional D.C.P, South District-Delhi, who motivated the students to be discerning in choosing a career of their choice. Quoting Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam, she also encouraged the students to create opportunities for themselves.

The School Principal acknowledged and appreciated the vision each student prefect had proposed for the school in their manifesto. The newly elected Head Girl, Drishti Singh solemnly presented the vision of the Prefectorial Board and the The Head Boy, Himanshu Setia, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The proud parents of the newly appointed prefects from the Junior and Senior wings were the special guests who greatly appreciated the investiture ceremony.
