New Delhi, Dec 23, 2021: Apeejay School, Saket held its virtual mega event, the Annual Appreciation Day - ‘IKIGAI - Finding Your Reason for Being’, on December 23, 2021. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Minister of Information and Broadcasting along with Shri Mukthar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of Minority Affairs, and Padmashri Mr Gautam Gambhir, renowned cricketer and Member of Parliament as the Guests of Honour.

Special invitee, Shri D S Negi, CEO, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, graced the occasion with his benign presence.

Heartwarming messages by special invitees - Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj Ji, Padma Vibhushan Ustad Amjad Ali Khan Ji and Padmashree Shovana Narayan ji motivated and encouraged the students.

Dr. Neha Berlia, Member Management Board, and Co-Promoter of Apeejay Stya and Svrán Group presided over the function. She appreciated the efforts of the school and motivated students to never give up on their dreams. The Chief Guest congratulated the school on choosing IKIGAI (the Japanese philosophy of finding a reason for your being) as the theme for the Annual Appreciation Day.

Special Invitee, Shri D.S. Negi urged students to look beyond the world of the Internet and materialistic pursuits and invest in relationship-building.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana. The Principal, Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih, welcomed the guests and presented the school’s Annual Report. Citations were read out by the Head Boy, Head Girl, and prefects as the CBSE Board toppers along with other meritorious students were appreciated for their academic performance during the previous academic year. The co-curricular awards were also announced for the meritorious students.

The delightful evening unfolded creative and extravagant performances, with over 400 students participating in the event. The students performed a musical- ‘Junkyard Jukebox’ which was greatly appreciated by the audience. A melodious French song on harmony and peace was beautifully presented by the students. Artistic Yoga presentation and Orchestra by the school band kept everyone entertained. The play ‘Aatma Jagriti’ - the awakening of the inner self, which was the highlight of the programme, enunciated the value of humanity and compassion. The enactment by the students of the Pre-Primary, Primary, and Senior Wing left the audience spellbound. The gala evening culminated with the Vote of Thanks by the Academic Coordinator, Ms. Ritesh Sharma, followed by the motivational School song. The online Annual Appreciation Day was greatly appreciated by all the guests and parents gracing the event.

New Delhi, Dec 12, 2021: In remembrance of the man who gave solutions to unsolvable Mathematical problems, ‘The Man who knew Infinity’, on National Mathematics Day, the Mathematics Department of Apeejay School, Saket, celebrated ‘Ramanujan Day’ on Dec 12, 2021.

Each class was apprised of the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan and stressed that his incredible contributions to the field of Mathematics are an inspiration for all and will always be rejoiced.

The celebrations included a plethora of activities with Class VI exploring the golden ratio in nature and drawing of the Fibonacci spiral, Class VII exploring why triangles are the strongest polygon and form the basis of foundations of bridges, and Class VIII exploring the creation of spirograph quadrilaterals.

Students enjoyed discovering and learning by doing. The whole school was celebrating the spirit of mathematics and was amazed at the revelations that mathematics gives us.

New Delhi, Nov 17, 2021: Apeejay School, Saket, hosted the Dakshta Padak Samaroh, the annual prize distribution ceremony on November 17, 2021, to celebrate the achievement of its students in their academic pursuits and also to felicitate them for their efforts.

The Scholar Badge Ceremony commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp amidst soulful prayers which was followed by the Principal’s address to welcome the distinguished guests. The Chief Guest for the event was a distinguished luminary, Dr. Nidhi Sarohe, South District Magistrate, South Delhi. She inspired the scholars with her motivational address, to keep up the zeal to learn and achieve all through life students and never give up on hard work. She also encouraged the young scholars to imbibe the human values being imparted at school.

The Special Guest for the event was a distinguished mathematician, Professor Ashutosh Wazalwar, former head DESM, NCERT, who enlightened and motivated the young scholars with his enriching words. He commended the initiative of the school towards appreciating students who competed with themselves.

A mesmerizing Odyssey dance performance and a beautiful self-composed presentation on the drums by the talented students of the school enthralled the audience.

Our brilliant alumni Shashwat Shivam and Vayun, the all-round achievers, also attended the session and shared their mantra for success, instilling positivity and self-belief among their juniors. Their eloquent address left the young audience spellbound.

Altogether, 120 students received the scholar badges and e-certificates. The students with commendable and exemplary self-growth were also appreciated during the ceremony and were awarded e-certificates. Super Scholars for three years and four years were duly felicitated. Merit certificate was also conferred upon students who had scored 95% and above.

The proud parents witnessing the event appreciated the online endeavour of the school and called it a motivating factor for the children.

Children's Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Apeejay School, Saket. The celebration began with a splendid artwork created by Mr. Maharana, celebrating the students on Children’s Day. It was followed by a heartwarming speech for the students by the School Principal, Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih. The students were delighted by the dance performance by the school danseuse Ms. Malika, dedicated to the students.

The Principal, teachers, and non-teaching staff pleasantly surprised the students with amusing enactments reliving childhood moments, all soaking in the spirit of Children's Day. The celebration ended with a jukebox session by the music teacher, Mr. Lalit. The day also witnessed class teachers organising fun-filled activities and games in the class teacher's period. The students were overwhelmed by the entertaining presentations and enjoyed the day thoroughly.

The effort by the teachers was well appreciated by the students and parents in the 'thank you' notes sent by them.

New Delhi, Oct 8, 2021: Apeejay School, Saket hosted its annual inter-school science quest- Vichitra Vigyan on October 8, 2021, which witnessed the participation of 60 reputed schools of Delhi - NCR. School Principal Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Laxman Singh Rathore, a Scientist, Former Director-General of India Meteorological Department, and a permanent representative of India with the prestigious World Meteorological Organization, United Nations.

The inaugural ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, followed by an innovative fusion dance performance that amalgamated concepts of physics with Bharatnatyam.

This was followed by a presentation by student Garima Yadav of Class XII, who delved into the intricacies of Time. The riveting presentation was on the topic - ‘The Arrow of Time - Can Time Be Reversed’.

The Guest of Honour for the Valedictory event was Dr. Neeraj Saxena, an Advisor with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development and currently heading its Institutional Development Cell (IDC), who graciously addressed the gathering and announced the winner for the overall trophy. The overall winner for this mega science event was Apeejay School, Pitampura.

The event provided a way to enthuse scientific knowledge and thinking ability in the students. The six inventive competitions which engaged the students were ‘Sustainable Endorsement’, ‘Science Behind Magic’, ‘Science Quiz’, ‘Science Photography’, ‘Guten Appetit’, and ‘Science Conclave: A Panel Discussion’.
