Children's Day Celebration
New Delhi, Nov. 14, 2018: Children's Day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at Apeejay School, Saket. The teachers welcomed the students to classrooms decorated with handmade torans. A special congratulatory message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education Society, touched the hearts of all the students. The teachers staged amazing performances and enactments to entertain the students from classes II - XII. A play using ‘Clowning Theatre’ technique was also performed by a group of young theatre artists. It depicted the bad influence of modern gadgets on the young minds and was the primary attraction of the celebrations. The day was filled with fun, frolic and games. This day will linger on as a memorable day of this year. The students enjoyed the sweets distributed to them.
Rajeshwari Paul Kala Sangam
New Delhi, October 22, 2018: Kalasree Evoor Rajendran Pillai (Kathakali Dancer), Director of National Academy for Temple Arts, graced the occasion with his benign presence and performed in the 'Rajeshwari Paul Kala Sangam' series at Apeejay School, Saket. The audience was mesmerised by his enchanting bhaav-bhangima, rasa-abhinaya, colourful & dazzling costumes and elegantly designed head gears. Along with his nritya, he explained the meaning of each mudra to the audience.
New Delhi, Oct. 10 & 17, 2018: Students of Class IV B presented a futuristic perspective on ‘Water - The Blue Gold’ through a beautiful enactment in a special assembly on October 10, 2018.
Festivities are also celebrated with great fervor in the country. Students of Class II B presented a beautiful assembly on Dussehra and Diwali interspersed with dances, songs, play as they spread awareness about the harmful aspects of crackers. The special assembly on October 17, 2018, was enjoyed by the Primary Wing before the autumn break
Founder’s Day Celebration
New Delhi, October 4, 2018: The School proudly celebrated Founder's Day to mark the 99th birth anniversary of its Founder Chairman, Dr Stya Paul in the School auditorium. The School Principal, Headmistress, staff and students offered floral tributes to their beloved Chairman, while the choir serenaded favourite bhajans of Chairman Sir. The School Principal, Mrs Smita Amit, shared glimpses of the inspiring life and the incredible journey of Dr Stya Paul, highlighting his exemplary attributes and philosophy. Mr Arvind beautifully summated the outstanding accomplishments of the legendary leader with the shloka ऊँ क्रतो स्मार।
Monologues by Shashwat Shivam of Class X B as the great nationalist, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and by Vartika Vani of Class XI A as the undeterred mountaineer, Arunima Sinha, resonated the zeal and passion similar to the ideals of Dr Stya Paul. An impactful self-composed poetry 'Sapnon Mein Tu Rakh Aastha' was recited by Kanishka of Class XI A. A colourful dance medley by the girls of classes VII, VIII and IX exhilarated the audience.
‘Dr Stya Paul Award for Human Values’ was conferred to deserving students from the Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary School in the presence of their proud parents. The programme concluded with a special message sent by Chairman of the Apeejay Education Society, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia. The event was also attended by the PTA members.
Exhibition on Festivals
New Delhi, Oct. 2018: Students of Class III organised an exhibition on ‘Festivals in India and Korea’ wherein parents classes II - V got an opportunity to see the colourful dance and song performances by students of Class III. The students also displayed decorative diyas, lanterns, table mats, festive cards made by them. This exhibition marked the finale to the project assigned to Class III under the International School Awards Programme.
