USA, June 2019: Nine spirited students of Apeejay School, Saket, along with their teacher escort, Ms Sarita Chawla, enjoyed an exciting and enriching 9 day trip to the USA in the third week of June. The students visited Orlando, Niagara, New York and Boston

Besides relishing the tour to Disney World and the Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios in Orlando, students also visited NASA for some hands-on experience about the diverse space programmes and aeronautics research being pioneered there. At the Kennedy Space Center, students were fortunate to interact with veteran astronaut, Norm Thagard, from NASA’s Astronaut Corps. and gained valuable inputs from his experiences and personal anecdotes.

The students explored through the Kennedy Space Centre and were fascinated by the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket stands at Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A, ready for launch on 17th June.

They also witnessed the grandeur of the Statue of Liberty and experienced the hustle and bustle of Times Square. The magnificence of the Niagara Falls left the students spellbound by its natural beauty and magnitude.

The students also gained insight into the American culture and way of life and learnt essential life skills and comradeship with their family of friends.

Overall, it was an educative, thrilling and a learning experience for all. This trip helped the students to identify their unique strengths and they all came back healthy, happy , confident and enriched.
