New Delhi, July 29, 2016: Mathematics Week was conducted in the School from July 22 to July 29, 2016 wherein various activities were organised to create interest and aptitude of the students in Mathematics.
Students of Class I participated in the Quiz and made a collage using mathematical shapes. They were shown a presentation on ‘Mathematics in Everyday Life’. Students of classes II to V also participated in the Quiz and enjoyed the presentation on ‘Story of Numbers’. They enthusiastically participated in various mathematical classroom activities. The students of classes VI to VII conducted various hands-on activities. Students of classes IX and X participated in a silent conversion activity wherein they identified and corrected errors in the given solutions of problems.
The students of senior secondary school attended a career counseling session wherein they were made aware of different careers in Mathematics. The week culminated with the Dr. Stya Paul Memorial Mathematics Quest 2016.
