Saket, April 29, 2016: The School hosted its 19th annual inter-school extravaganza, ‘Chunauti’ (2016-17), an event that provides a platform to showcase the ingenuity of children, on 28th and 29th April 2016. The event witnessed fourteen innovative competitions stimulating the creativity, intellect and potential of young minds. Twenty four schools with four hundred students from classes I to XI from Delhi and NCR participated zealously in various events like Toy Story, Historic Strokes, Rhythmic Yoga, Abhivyakti, To Be or Not to Be, Fable Enactment, Shlok Gyan, [email protected] Animator, Web Designing and Jungle Safari. Musical events like Geet Bahar, Taal Samagam, Nrityakala and Songs for Life (in French) also invited an encouraging response from the students.

Dr. Meeta Pandit, renowned Hindustani Classical Vocalist belonging to the Gwalior Gharana, was the chief guest at the inaugural function. She appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and motivated them to be a part of these cultural events to realise their talent. The events were judged judiciously by eminent judges from the field of Music, Art, Science, Languages, Media, ICT and Education. The ‘Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan Trophy’ (UMAK) for excellence in Music and Dance and the ‘Rolling Trophy’ for Chunauti 2016-17 was bagged by Indraprastha International School, Dwarka for their overwhelming performance in all the events.
