New Delhi, Aug. 13, 2015: Students of Apeejay School, Saket organised Hindi Week from 10th Aug. to 13th Aug. to promote students’ interest in the national language and enhance their skill & creativity in its usage.
The chief guest for this gala event on Day 1 was Dr. Manju Gupta, Former Vice-Principal of Kamala Nehru College and an illustrious poetess & writer. She apprised the students on the importance of Hindi language in modern times and emphasised on the right use of the language. The programme commenced with the Saraswati Vandana recital after which students exhibited their creative genius by reciting their self-composed poetry with full vigour.
On Day 2, students from classes VI-X demonstrated their prowess and competence in the language through ad-making, creative writing and story writing using idioms & proverbs, etc.
On Day 3, students regaled the audience with poetry recitation, shloka and doha rendition, story narration, mono acting, etc. An enlightening quiz show, based on general interesting facts about the Hindi language, saw an enthusiastic participation and was thoroughly appreciated & enjoyed by all. The event culminated with a solemn oath by the students:
“हिंदी है हमारी शान
हमें है इस पर अभिमान
करेंगे इसका सदा सम्मान”
