New Delhi, April 26, 2019: Chunauti 2019', the annual two-day inter-school cultural fest, was inaugurated at Apeejay School, Saket on 25 April 2019 in the presence of many luminaries who graced the mega event.
World renowned Kuchipudi exponents, Drs. Raja and Radha Reddy, choreographers and gurus, Padma Shree and Padma Bhushan awardees, graced the occasion as Chief Guests and were extended a red carpet welcome by the School Principal, Ms Smita Amit, staff and students of the School.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp as the School choir serenaded hymns to invoke the blessings of the Goddess. A mesmerising fusion dance performance enthralled the audience.
Seventeen schools from Delhi-NCR participated in ten innovative competitions on day one: Clay It, Fusion Funk, Rap Dlam, Business-O-Mania, Nav-Srijan and Le Serpent L'escalier, to name a few.
The grand and colourful events of ‘Chunauti 2019’ culminated on April 26, 2019 with the valedictory function.
Seventeen reputed schools from Delhi-NCR participated in the fun-filled and innovative competitions namely – Storycraft, Dhwani, Kolourmatrix, Yog Utsav, Historical Character Comes Alive, Katha and Slowest Lander. The Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan Rolling Trophy (UMAK) was bagged by St. George’s School, Alaknanda for their splendid performance in music and dance.
The overall winners were Apeejay School, Noida, for their remarkable performance in almost all the events.
The feedback and response by the participating schools was encouraging.
