New Delhi, April 30, 2014: Apeejay School, Saket hosted its annual inter-school cultural festival, Chunauti, with great fanfare on the 29th and 30th of April 2014. The event saw an overwhelming participation by 33 prestigious schools from Delhi and NCR. Fourteen interesting competitions, challenging the creativity and skill of the participants, saw an enthusiastic response by the students. These competitions included Modular Origami, Warli Painting Stick Animation, Mehndi, Veggie Act, Turncoat Debate, Spin-a-Yarn, Ad-making, Artistic Strokes, Sanskrit Hasya Natika and Web-Animators, to name a few. They witnessed keen participation by students from Kindergarten upto Class XII.
Sitar maestro, Pt.Prateek Chaudhuri, was the chief guest at the inaugural function. The festival saw eminent judges from the field of music, dance, art, craft, science, ICT and languages adjudging the competitions. The Ustad Mushtaq Ali Khan Trophy (UMAK) for excellence in music and dance was bagged by Guru Harkishan Public School, Vasant Vihar. The rolling trophy for Chunauti went to Birla Vidya Niketan School for their stupendous performance in all the events.
