New Delhi, Jan. 31, 2019:‘Great is the moment of initiation but profound is the moment of culmination’. The 'Abhinandan' ceremony to bid adieu to the outgoing batch of Class XII students was organised by the staff and management of Apeejay School, Saket.
The School Principal, Mrs Smita Amit, welcomed the Chief Guest, Swami Shantatmananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi and the proud parents of the students of Class XII. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and an invocation song, followed by thought provoking speeches by the Headmistress, the Pre- Primary, Primary In-charges and Secondary school teachers.
The class teachers of class XII shared reminiscences of their students and bid farewell to them, wishing them success in their upcoming exam. The readings by teachers from our holy scriptures emphasised the value of consistent efforts & 'karma'. The Head Boy and the Head Girl of the School shared nostalgic moments of their School life and their eternal bond with the teachers. The day was a fiesta devoted to the enriching years spent together and to reminisce the joyous moments.
The programme concluded with the tika ceremony and giving away of mementoes to Class XII students & passing the candle, a symbol of duty and responsibility to Class XI students. The interactive session by the Chief Guest, Swami Shantatma Nanda, with the students about how they envision their lives was enlightening. It was indeed a momentous day for the parents as they witnessed their ward's valediction ceremony.
