Delhi, May 2021: Apeejay School, Pitampura organised a much-needed webinar for its senior students of classes XI-XII & their parents to throw light on the devastating effects of the pandemic on children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Dr. Jyotsna Bhardwaj, a popular psychologist, and counsellor engaged the virtual audience with her well-coordinated examples through a meaningful and well-prepared PPT. She emphasised the need to work upon making happiness a mission for all, especially teenagers. The webinar was a collaborative effort between the School and Envision India Eduservices.

Placing a strong emphasis on the four pillars for a strong foundation - Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual Health, she advised the students to work upon gaining happiness in life. Discovering & knowing self, training the brain for positive self-talk, and managing emotions were some of her tips for the students who feel frustrated and anxiety-ridden during the present challenging time.

The Q&A session brought a lot of clarity among the students and parents as Dr. Jyotsna handled each question in her unique charismatic style. The parents appreciated the efforts of the School in bringing such an informative session right into the homes to deal with their rising concern on growing cases of mental health and emotional wellbeing.

The School plans to organise more specially curated sessions for its students in Middle and Primary Wings to empower the students to wade through tough times.
