New Delhi, August 7, 2014: The first stage of the National Experimental Skill Test 2014, organised by the National Anveshika Network of India, was held at Modern School, Barakhamba Road on 2nd August 2014. The theme of the competition was ‘Practical Physics based Experiments’. There were a large number of participating schools and students from all over the National Capital Region.

The first round included 8 videos from which questions were given to the students. The questions were based on total practical knowledge and logical reasoning in the field of Physics. 20 students were shortlisted, and went on to the next round held on 7th August. Here all the students were given 4 Physics based experiments each, and given half an hour to perform each experiment.

Aakash Varshney of Class XII secured 2nd position and received a cash prize of Rs. 750/-.
