On 28th May, 10 students of our school along with, Ms Vandana Adwani went to attend a photography workshop at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. The workshop aimed at guiding the students through the various techniques of photographing monuments so that they could efficiently click photographs of various UNESCO World Heritage Sites and participate in the Inter School Photography Competition.
As it is believed that the best thing to learn is to execute, the first session was conducted at Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There a professional photographer guided us through the various tasks involved in photographing a monument that too from different angles. There they even learnt on how to set the desired focus and were given tips to avoid overexposure.
In the second session held at the Canon Lounge of Ambience Mall, the students were exposed to the various shades of photography and how they could depict the cultural heritage of India in their photographs. They were ignited about the various technicalities, equipments and features like Aperture that could enhance the charm of our photograph. An exhibition of the wide range of cameras offered by Canon was also displayed that added up to the knowledge of the students and made them curious about photography.
The workshop was an enriching experience for the students which brought them face to face with the colorful world of photography and encouraged them to explore the nation’s heritage…
