New Delhi, July 26, 2019: Concerned about the growing menace of cybercrimes, the law enforcement agency of the city, Delhi Police organised a workshop on the topic ‘Cyber Safety Awareness for School Teachers’ at Police Station, Barakhambha Road, Delhi. It has been understood that school going children, because of their inquisitiveness and curiosity, are at a greater risk of becoming victims of cybercrimes.
The Workshop was an eye-opener as it threw light on offences such as harassment on social media, online stalking, bullying, frauds, etc. Most of these offences are targeting the youth, especially the teenagers because of their young age and vulnerability. Large numbers of teenagers are falling prey to such crimes, knowingly and unknowingly.
Delhi Police educated the participants about the various safety measures while using mobile phone, internet banking, social media, credit and debit cards, etc. The main aim of the Workshop was to train the trainers so that the teachers attending the Workshop could further train and counsel their students and thus save them from becoming victims of cybercrimes.
The Workshop was quite informative and a great learning experience.
