New Delhi, Dec. 18, 2017: A workshop titled ‘A career in Army’ was organised for students of Class XI. Lieutenant Parth Dayal, an alumnus of Apeejay School, Pitampura was the resource person for the same. Through his presentation, he motivated the students to be a part of the Indian Army and shared its various roles. He informed the students about the various qualities of an Army Officer, steps and procedure of selection and when and where one can apply for the same. A short video on the topic ‘Indian Army: A Life Less Ordinary’ was the highlight of the session.
Not just men, but there are increasing numbers of girls too who are now joining the Army. It is a profession with ample scope for boys and girls to take up law, medicine and engineering courses. The present technologies and equipments with the army, the proxy wars fought, the importance of armored, infantry and intelligence force were a part of the discussion. Students also learnt how the army transforms young boys into gentlemen & confident citizens and that a career in the Army can prove to be a good career choice.
