New Delhi, Feb 12, 2020: The 47th NPSC (National Progressive Schools’ Conference) Annual Conference was held on 11th and 12th February 2020 at the India International Centre. Eminent personalities from the fields of education, literature, theatre and the performing arts graced the occasion. The conference spread over 2 days was divided into 10 sessions. The theme for this year was ‘Winds of Change: Reshaping the Landscape of Education’. Ms Veena Goel, Principal, Apeejay School, Pitampura, was the Guest Coordinator for the session ‘Reaping Contentment: Realising your Passion’.

The keynote address was delivered by Mr Rajeev Chandaran, National Information Officer, UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan. He laid emphasis on importance of Intercultural Education for a Globalized World.

National Progressive Schools’ Conference

H.E. Dr Tariq AlGurg, CEO of Dubai Cares, participated as the Chief Guest along with H.E. Dr. Ahmed AlBanna, UAE Ambassador to India, as the Guest of Honor. H.E. Dr Tariq AlGurg spoke at length about providing quality education to children around the globe and fight the inequality in terms of caste, religion, economic status, physical ability, gender, etc.

The plenary address was delivered by Mr Vineet Joshi, Director General, National Testing Agency. He talked about the essence of mindfulness in the field of education and the problems faced by them in setting of papers.

The inaugural session concluded with the Felicitation Ceremony and Dr Anju Tandon, Vice Chairperson, NPSC and Principal, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, presenting the vote of thanks.
