New Delhi, April 22, 2019: Five German learners of Class VIII and a German teacher, Mrs Pooja Chadha, attended a fun-filled workshop under the programme ‘Go to Goethe’ at Max Mueller Bhavan, Goethe Institute, New Delhi, on the topic ‘Ostern In Deutschland’. Easter is a festival which is widely celebrated by Christians on the day of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. ‘Go to Goethe’ is their new monthly event for School kids wherein they invite the kids to different workshops or competitions to help German learners to explore more about Germany, German and Germans.

Students took part in various activities and games. They made a band of an Easter bunny, an interesting game of a lemon race in which students had to hold a spoon in their mouth while balancing an easter egg on it and race with each other. At last, students actively took part in painting Easter eggs with colours and were shown a short movie on ‘Easter in Germany’. Students received a bag as a souvenir from there. It was really a wonderful exposure to the German culture.

Students had a gala time visiting Max Müeller Bhavan and were thankful to the School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, for offering a magnificent moment to get familiarized with German festivals and build up the language skills.
