Gandhiji’s Martyrdom Day 30th January has been marked as Anti Leprosy Day in India in remembrance of his selfless care for people affected by leprosy and for the need to fight the stigma against leprosy.

On 30th January 2012, Anti-Leprosy Day was celebrated in the school, premises wherein the students were shown a presentation and a movie to sensitize them towards the much stigmatized disease of Leprosy. This day acted as a golden opportunity where the students were able to break free from their stereotypes and learn that Leprosy patients are ‘Just like You and Me!’ and also learn the scientific reasons for leprosy and its cures and of course broke its myths.
