Apeejay School, Pitampura played host to students and teachers of Altricham School, Manchester from 4th July to 9th July 2012. The visit was a part of an enriching student-exchange programme between the two schools. The six visiting students had a glimpse of Indian life and culture during their stay with host families of Apeejay students. The group visited various historical monuments and other places of tourist interest, namely, the National Museum, India Gate, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Akshardham Temple, and the National Crafts Museum.

The visiting students successfully worked on a project on Carbon Foot-Printing, computing and analyzing the carbon di-oxide emission in the school premises over the previous year. The visiting teachers had stimulating sessions with the teachers and the students of the host school, exchanging their views on curriculum designing, evaluation system, activity based learning and scientific innovation. The guests later had a tête-à-tête with Taj Mahal as a fitting conclusion to the six day rendezvous of people of two diverse world cultures.
