New Delhi, August 21, 2020: On 21st August 2020, a very sensitive topic was chosen to create awareness and sensitise today’s youth on throw away lifestyle by the students of Apeejay School, Pitampura. The students expressed their concerns about the deterioration of the environment and what can be done to leave footprints for the coming generations to follow. They spoke about minimizing plastic waste, facts, and statistics on the use and throw away lifestyle, sustainable fashion, throwaway society, environment hazards from single-use plastics and biochemical waste disposal, paper disposal, and recycling of paper. Students also shared the initiatives taken by Apeejay School, Pitampura, as to how the School is managing its waste and has stopped sending circulars through papers. Now, all invites and circulars are shared with parents on an e-platform. Our alumni - Chaitanya Bhargava, from The University of Finland also shared his views on the same. Throw away culture has affected our planet to a great extent and it is the right time to check our actions and save what we are left with for the coming generations.
