The Annual Junior Sports Day was held on Friday, 8th March 2019, with great zeal, excitement and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. The programme began with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, Mr. Dinesh Kumar, a renowned athlete of International fame and the esteemed gathering of parents. He unfurled the school flag and declared the meet open. He also took the salute of the impressive March Past by the Primary and Pre- primary students who carried with them special messages conveying sportsmanship.
The Principal, Ms Veena Goel welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. She laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a student’s life. The students left everyone spellbound with their athletic shows which included army drill, ball drill, dumble drill, parachute drill, callisthenic drill, gymnastics etc. This was entailed by the fun races wherein the participants participated with full verve and vigour. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as obstacle race, joker race, hurdle race, relay etc.
The Chief Guest in his address spoke about the importance of having self belief, being focused and goal oriented. The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports winners. The Primary Incharge, Mrs. Praveen Kumari proposed the vote of thanks. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
