New Delhi, October 11, 2013: Apeejay School, Pitampura participated in the Model Inclusive Common Wealth Games (MICG) – a Sports Extravaganza, organised by the British Council and Special Olympic Bharat, at the Chhatrasal Stadium. The programme was organised to mark the arrival of Queen’s Baton Relay in India on 11th October 2013. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Arjuna Awardee & Common Wealth Game Gold Medalist Boxer, Mr. Akhil Kumar.

Of the 71 countries’ schools which participated in the Common Wealth Games, Apeejay School, Pitampura was assigned to represent Guernsey, a small island located in the English Channel. 52 students of Apeejay School, Pitampura participated in the following events – March past, band display, athletic events and collage making.
