New Delhi, Aug. 31, 2018: To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, Janamashtami festival was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm in the Pre-Primary Department. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith. The students of classes Nursery C and KG C conducted a special assembly which elaborated on how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.

Devotional midnight singing (which takes place when Krishna is believed to have been born) was dramatized through a melodious devotional song ‘Achyutam keshavam Krishna Damodaram’ by the students of Class KG C. Students were perfectly dressed up and enthralled the audience with their wonderful performance.

This was followed by Class Nursery C students enacting various acts based on Krishna’s life i.e. Vasudev dropping Krishna to Gokul after his birth, Krishna stealing butter, Krishna eating mud, lifting of the Govardhan Parvat on his finger to save villages and meeting his dearest friend Sudama after a long period.
