New Delhi, Oct. 2, 2015: SANCHETNA, an Apeejay Leadership Programme, is one of the major annual events of Apeejay School, Pitampura. This year it was held from 28th September to 2nd October 2015. The convention gives a platform to Class X students to explore as well showcase their talent and capabilities beyond their academic boundaries. It makes them aware of how gifted they are. More importantly it prepares them to become leaders in the times to come. The five-day convention proved to be a fruitful learning experience both for the participants as well as the leaders.
Various events are held throughout the year to make the students aware of an ‘inclusive society’. A step was taken towards this direction and a special feature of SANCHETNA this year was to include specially challenged students as participants for various workshops.
The specially challenged students from UPASANA School enthusiastically participated in all the activities and their joy was evident on their faces. The inclusion brought the students in close association with the specially challenged students, which generated understanding and friendship between them. It also taught them the virtue of teamwork and compassion, bringing a perspective change in their attitude and learning.
