New Delhi, Jan 22, 2021: The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur by the Pre-Primary Department of Apeejay School, Pitampura, on 22nd January 2021. Keeping the spirit of patriotism alive and remembering the valuable contribution of our legendary leaders, a special assembly was organised by the Kindergarten students. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The day began with the teacher's talk on the significance of this auspicious day and the relevance of the Indian Constitution. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation. The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love for the motherland through their speeches, poems, and patriotic songs. They also gave enthralling dance performances on a mash-up of patriotic songs which filled everyone's heart with love and gratitude for the motherland. The event concluded with a message to dedicate ourselves to build a better, stronger India, the India of our dreams.

The Primary Department of the School celebrated the day, inculcating the values of patriotism and oneness among students. All classes organised a special assembly wherein students sung patriotic songs, recited poems about our nation, and showcased their love for the country through some dance performances. Students, as well as their parents, thoroughly enjoyed the celebration with hearts full of pride for our Motherland India.

The Senior School also celebrated the day with full enthusiasm. The zest and zeal mixed with the feeling of patriotism were visible in the way the assembly was conducted by Dedication House. There was a live telecast of flag hoisting from the school wherein the School Principal hoisted the Tricolour. She was accompanied by the Vice-Principal, in-charges, and teachers. The Principal hoisted the tricolour awakening a feeling of pride in all the students.

The assembly started with the Republic Day message from the School Principal, teachers, and students. A self-composed poem, instrumental music, patriotic songs, and dance on a patriotic number were the highlights of the assembly.

Students prepared PowerPoint presentations explaining the meaning of ‘Republic’ and how our country became a ‘Republic’.
