Delhi, July 08, 2022:A potpourri of arts, dance, music and joy marked the 98th birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Dr. Stya Paul and revered mother of our Chairman Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia on 8th July 2022 in the school premises.

Rajeshwari Kala Utsav is a tribute to The Mother, Smt. Rajeshwari Paul as she is fondly known and remembered by all. A patron of Arts & Culture, her birth anniversary was celebrated with musical renditions, classical dance performances, art exhibition etc.

The day began with a special assembly dedicated to ‘Stree Shakti’ – an embodiment of strength, wisdom and dignity. After the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes, a vibrant cultural programme was presented by the students under the guidance of the Performing Arts Department. On the occasion, an inspiring message shared by the President Madam for the students was read out.

A special Sufi dance performance was the highlight of the assembly as it lyrically depicted a strong message of women empowerment in the little movements and animated expressions of the students.

The aesthetically laid out art work of the students was much appreciated by all the students and teachers. A musical presentation by the school orchestra and the school choir group was enjoyed by all. The students were also mesmerised by the nimble dance steps and intricate footwork of the kathak performers.

The senior students of History Department garnered appreciation for their powerful presentation ‘Dharamshetra’, a role play of various characters from the epic Mahabharat. The celebration reached its crescendo with the rhythmic dhol presentation by the young budding artist Shaurya Jain of Class VI-A. We bow our head in reverence to the divine soul and strive to promote all forms of art and culture as an essential component of our education.
