New Delhi, August 29, 2016: About 350 students of classes KG and Nursery visited Shankar’s International Dolls Museum on 2nd, 3rd 10th and 11th of August. The objective of the Excursion was to break the monotony of class room teaching and get hands-on experience of day-to-day learning. It was like a mini city tour for the students as the luxury A.C. buses passed by some important landmarks of Delhi like Hanuman Mandir and various metro stations.
The students wondered with excitement when they saw 6,500 dolls, effigies and models from 85 countries all over the world under one roof. The teachers explained about various artistically displayed models which depicted the life, culture, religion, festivals, flora and fauna, brides and grooms of different countries of the world. The major attraction for the kids was the dancing idols.
All in all it was an experience to be cherished for life.
