New Delhi, April 7, 2019: “A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”

Apeejay School, Pitampura organised an Orientation Programme for the parents of Pre-School on Sunday 7th April 2019. The aim was to familiarize the parents as ‘Partners in Progress’ with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodology and co-curricular activities.

The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp, followed by the prayer and sapling presentation by the School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel. The session began with the welcome address by Mrs. Veena Goel, followed by a brief sharing about the ethos and culture of the Apeejay Education Society by Dr. V.S Garg, Senior Education Advisor, Apeejay Education Society. In his speech, he laid stress on the holistic development and value based education which is the main aim of the School. He also talked about the philosophy of Apeejay i.e., man-making and nation building.

The guest speaker, Dr Roma Kumar (Psychologist, Senior Consultant, Institute of Child Health Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), had an interactive session with the parents on the topic ‘Parenting with Love and LOGIC’. She helped them to understand their child and problems they may face in the new phase of life. She also gave tips to parents as how to raise kids who are not only disciplined but at the same time happy and responsible human beings. It was indeed a thought provoking session. Towards the end, the Pre-Primary In-Charge, Mrs Sonali Chopra, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The programme concluded with High Tea.
