New Delhi, January 18, 2013: The School celebrated 60 years of Indo-Japan diplomatic relations on the occasion of Japanese Day.  The day began with the auspicious lighting the lamp and floral welcome of the dignitaries. The event was marked with  various cultural and educational  items exhibiting the rich Japanese culture – Japanese song  ‘Sakura’, dance ballad 'Hiroshima Ki Kahani'; dance performance on a Japanese song; character dramatisation of an Amine character and a talk on Japanese struggle of existence. Norimichi Takemura, Japanese Language Advisor, has been promoting Japanese culture and joined the gathering on this occasion along with Tomoko Nakamura, Finance Control Officer of the Japan Foundation.

Mr. Takemura, in his speech, talked about the importance of Japanese language in this global competition and also the similarity of Japanese and Hindi language. The programme was witnessed by Class V students who thoroughly enjoyed it as they were enthralled by some exuberant performances.
