On 9th January, 2012, Apeejay School, Pitampura celebrated 60 years of Indo-Japan diplomatic relations. The event was characterized by anime screening for students. Mr. Kosato and Mr. Maeda, who have been promoting Japanese culture, joined us on the Japanese day along with many other respected dignitaries. After briefing about Indo-Japan relations, there was a discussion about Japanese anime and its popularity in other countries, especially India. Then we saw the trailer of a famous movie in process in Japan, “Batu Gaiden”. The next anime was a Hindi dubbed version of “Marude Dameo” which really attracted the audience. After anime screening there was another discussion round involving talks about the two anime between the audience and chief guests. The students participated actively. The rest of the day we had two more sessions of anime screening.
