To mark the birth of Lord Krishna the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm by the preprimary department on Thursday 18th August 2022. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith. The students of Nursery B and C conducted the special assembly beginning with the explanation given by the teacher about how and why we celebrate Janmashtami.

This was followed by character dramatization. The role of Lord Krishna, Radha and other characters was perfectly played by the budding stars. Another performance was an action song on Chhoti Chhoti Gaiyan followed by Krishna Radha dance. Songs of love for Lord Krishna are sung on Janmashtami. To depict the same the students articulated the dance -Woh Kisna Hai. A solo dance was also performed by a student of class K.G. Participants were dressed up in traditional attires and won the hearts of all with their mesmerized performance.

Respected Principal Ms. Veena Goel and Vice Principal Dr Renuka Kamal graced the occasion and appreciated the well organised assembly. Ma’am took the lead to follow the tradition of Dahi Handi. It is believed that Aarti provides a completion of the prayer.

Assembly was concluded by offering sweets, flowers and Chandan tilak to Lord Krishna and Radha. The entire programme brought feelings of devotion and faith in the hearts of all.
