New Delhi, April 25, 2019: “If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.” Apeejay School, Pitampura celebrated the much awaited Investiture Ceremony on 25th April 2019. The ceremony commenced with welcoming Dr Madhu Pruthi, Principal, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi, the esteemed chief guest for the occasion.
Giving an auspicious start to the day, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp was done by the Chief Guest, School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, Vice-Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih and the In-Charges; followed by a bhajan by the choir group ‘Naam Japaan Kyon Chood Diya’.
The newly elected Apeejay Parliamentarians were encouraged and congratulated by their friends on presenting the ‘Thumri Nirat Dhang’, a form of Kathak and a melodious song by the Middle School choir group, asking their elected friends ‘Don’t give up on your faith, success comes to those who believe it and that’s the way it is.
The School Principal encouraged the students telling them about the qualities the Apeejay Parliamentarians need to possess to become good leaders. She also emphasised on team work.
Mrs Veena Goel and School Vice-Principal, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, gave the flags, pinned up the badges and presented the ties instilling in the newly elected Apeejay Parliamentarians a sense of duty and pride.
Aditya Gupta of Class XII A was declared the Head Boy and Riya Ahuja of Class XII D was declared the Head Girl. Apeejay School, Pitampura infuses the child with a spirit of camaraderie, cohesion and competitiveness. There were 18 Parliamentarians in each category – senior, middle and junior. Other than the house captains, assistant house captains, sports captains, vice captains for sports, there were Parliamentarians for Music, Theatre, IT, Social Work, Photography and Mass Media, Journalism, Values and Ethics, Public Speaking and Environment.
Dr Madhu Pruthi encouraged the students in her address, telling them how important it is to believe in team work (Together Everyone can Achieve More). The day ended with a promise to soar higher as the School motto says ‘Soaring High is My Nature’.
