New Delhi, August 14, 2019: 73rd Independence Day was celebrated in the School’s multi-purpose hall, wherein all the students of the Pre-Primary Department gathered for a special assembly.
The programme started with students of Class KG B explaining about how and why we celebrate this day. It was followed by enactment by few children on the song ‘Desh Mere Desh’. The children were dressed in white kurta pyjama with orange and green stoles around the waist. The children depicted how proud they are of their nation through this song.
Next, the students danced to the beats of the song ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon’ wearing blue attire with tri-colour stoles. Their energy was sky high as they depicted their love for the nation.
Students gave an enthralling performance on a mashup of patriotic songs. Their synchronized actions and dedicated performance left the audience spellbound and filled their hearts with love for the Motherland.
To further strengthen the feeling of honour, Ms Sonali Chopra, Pre-Primary In-Charge spoke the slogan ‘Jai Hind’ and filled the atmosphere with pride for the country.
All the teachers and students gathered in the open air auditorium. The School Principal, Ms Veena Goel, unfurled the Tricolor which was followed by the national anthem. The programme was marked with powerful speeches, skit, patriotic dances and songs
Soumya and Anmol of Class XI, in their speeches, spoke about the relevance of freedom and our responsibilities as the citizen of the country.
The Principal, in her concluding speech, motivated students to become responsible and dedicated citizens of the country.
