New Delhi, August 14, 2020: Pandemic times led to the online celebration of the National Festival – Independence Day on the Zoom platform on 14th August 2020. The Senior School had an online assembly wherein the students witnessed the flag hoisting done on the School premises. Manan Agarwal of Class X sang the National Anthem. Akshita Pratap of Class XI sang patriotic songs thereby infusing the spirit of patriotism. Sonika Chamola of Class XII performed Ganesh Stuti. Vedika Rishi of Class X talked about ‘Our Independence Day’. Dhanvin Richie of Class XI did an instrumental performance. This was followed by a recitation by Samarth Sharma of Class XI and a dance performance by Sakshi Gupta of Class XI.
School Principal, Ms Veena Goel, shared her how the freedom fighters had struggled and made heroic sacrifices to win freedom for us. Independence did not signify just the transfer of political power but it was a stepping stone for nation-building. She emphasised that we should all work together for nation-building and take our nation to new heights.
In the Primary section, the students had a class assembly on the Zoom platform wherein students came dressed up as different leaders and the Zoom platform became live with the stories of freedom struggle. The students presented their speeches, sang patriotic songs, and danced expressing their love for their country India.
