New Delhi, Oct. 23, 2018: Atal Tinkering Lab of Apeejay School, Pitampura, was inaugurated on 23rd October 2018 with great zest and enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Madhusudan Pal, scientist ‘F’ and Additional Director & Head, Ergonomics, Defense Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), DRDO. The special guests included Dr Sandeep Kumar Shukla, Mr Rajesh Asthana from DRDO, Dr Amit Garg, Associate Professor from Acharya Narendra Dev College and Mr Aditya Arora who is also the mentor of change from Niti Aayog, and alumni of the School.

School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, congratulated the students and encouraged them to involve themselves more in this unique setup. She said that this was a golden opportunity for the students to show their creative best and their scientific skills. The Chief Guest and special guests also motivated the students by their pearls of wisdom. The brief report about the lab was read by Mrs Sarika Minocha, ATL In-Charge.

The students and teachers from leading schools of Delhi-NCR participated in the event. The students of classes XI and XII attended a session on ‘Journey of an Entrepreneur’ conducted by Mr Aditya Arora. Students of Class VIII were involved in the ‘Hands-on Activity’.

The School is truly making all sincere efforts to create innovators for a skilled India. All students from classes VI-XII will benefit from the lab. This will surely support young talent to hone their curiosity, creativity, adaptive learning and physical computing to understand the basic concept of STEM.
