New Delhi, December 23, 2014: German Day, themed ‘25th Anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall’, was celebrated in the school. The programme began with the introduction and welcome of the guests including Ms. Hema Gupta and Ms. Sheenam Puri from Max Mueller Bhavan.
Students of German language from classes VI-X enthusiastically took part in the programme. The students gave a brief introduction on ‘Berlin Wall’ which was followed by a short skit. Students learnt how the fall of Berlin Wall depicted great happiness which was presented by a fusion of dances and melody of songs.
After the assembly, there was also an Inter-School competition based on the famous personalities of Germany. Students were dressed up as the famous personalities of Germany such as Hitler, Thomas Miller, Steffi Graf, etc. Ms. Hema Gupta spoke on the importance of German language. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
