New Delhi, Oct. 18, 2018: Dussehra or Vijaydashmi is a major festival of Hindus. The festival marks the victory of goodness over evil. Keeping the festive spirit alive, the Pre-Primary Wing of Apeejay School, Pitampura, celebrated Dussehra on 18th October 2018 with great fervor and ardor.

Tiny tots were dressed up as the characters of the great epic Ramayana like Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, Ravana, Jatayu and others to perform on the story narrated by the teacher.

Students also narrated the epic Ramayana by melodiously singing ‘Hai ye Katha Ramayan ki’. They were adorned in attractive outfits for the occasion. To mark Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, children made a small puppet of Ravana as the take away activity.

The Pre-Primary In-Charge, Ms Sonali Chopra, addressed the students and gave them the message - ‘the triumph of virtue over the vice’. She congratulated the teachers and students for the wonderful special assembly and wished all a happy & safe festive season.
