New Delhi, Nov 11, 2020: Diwali - the festival which signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair was celebrated on 11th November 2020 by Devotion House with great enthusiasm on a virtual platform. It was a unique experience as it was the first virtual celebration of this festival. The program started with the lighting of the diyas and stuti performed by Vanshica Soni, a student of Class XI. Anisha Anand, the House Captain in her message to all the students, outlined the purpose of celebrating the festival and encouraged the students to celebrate it with the less privileged people. The students also performed a wonderful skit and played instrumental music. A glimpse of students making rangolis, dancing, painting diyas, and greeting everyone with wishes on Diwali was shown through a video. In the end, the School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, addressed the virtual gathering and in her message, she exhorted the students not to burst crackers as there are many ways to share & spread happiness all around and stay positive in these tough times & enjoy the festivities. The celebrations illuminated everyone’s heart with joy and fervor.
