New Delhi, Nov 17, 2020: Children’s Day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru - popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’. The occasion is celebrated every year with grand splendour and fiesta at Apeejay School, Pitampura.

On Thursday, 17th November 2020, a Special Assembly was organised by Determination House students on a virtual platform. Students gave power packed performances starting with the lighting of the lamp, followed by Ganesh Stuti by Ira Gupta of Class IX D. Motivation speeches were given by house captain, Muskaan Sanghal of Class XI A in English and Hindi by Hartej Singh of Class IX B. Charvi Gupta of Class X A recited a self-composed poem titled ‘जाने कहां गया वो बचपन’ in Hindi and an English poem was recited by Ira Gupta of Class IX D. Melodious songs were sung by Tasha Parikh of Class VI A and Yashovardhan of Class VII D. A thrilling dance performance by Sarisha Talwar of Class VI A. Main attraction of the assembly was the video played on our young achievers of the nation, which was made by Arshit Pahwa of Class VII D. The Assembly concluded with words of wisdom from the School Principal, Mrs Veena Goel. She appreciated the performances of the students and encouraged them to dream big and gave advice that in life one should make a path and not merely become followers.
