"Children are like buds in a garden and should be lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow " - Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru

Delhi, Nov 17, 2021: Children’s Day was celebrated by the Pre-Primary Department of Apeejay School, Pitampura, on 17th November 2020 with great splendour and grandeur to commemorate birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, independent India's first Prime Minister. It is due to his love for children that this day is marked as Childrens' Day, thereby honouring childhood.

The celebrations began with an informative and inspirational speech by the class teacher about the great leader and a true statesman - Pt. Nehru. She also encouraged the students to work diligently and enjoy their childhood to the optimum. It was followed by a story presentation session based on moral values which left a lasting impact on the students.

Dressed up in colourful party dresses the tiny tots were beaming with joy and excitement.
