New Delhi, Dec. 5 & 17, 2015: A sensitisation programme was organised by the Tata Power’s Club Enerji (TPCE) at Apeejay School, Pitampura, which included a classroom education programme informing students about the adverse effects of excessive and unrestrained energy consumption. Students from classes VI, VII and VIII were provided with an Energy Conservation Booklet which was further followed by an informative and interactive session on Energy, Power & Global Warming. TPCE is an informal club comprising school and college students. It aims to reach out to school children to emphasise on issues related to the importance of energy and electricity & also advice children to adopt judicious waste management practices.
For the same event, Devansh Arora, Aayushmaan Jha and Eshan Jain of Class VIII visited Hansraj Model Public School, Punjabi Bagh, to participate in the knockout and city finals (prelims) round of the Tata Power’s Club Enerji Quiz, held on 17th December 2015. They qualified the prelims round by securing the 3rd position among 27 schools and were further selected for the quarter finals and semi-finals in January 2016, in Mumbai.
