New Delhi, February 2, 2014: The school celebrated its Annual Sports Day wherein the school conducted mock Commonwealth Games in which nearly 1360 students participated, representing 28 countries (out of 71) of the Commonwealth Games Federation. The students’ activities were fun-filled as they displayed their skills at taekwondo, aerobics, yogasanas and various dances. The function was presided over by Mr. Sushil Kumar, the famous Olympic wrestler, who while speaking on occasion, relived those golden years of his childhood.
Later, students as representatives of their country teams displayed their talents in athletics, long jump and shotput. There were also sports events conducted for the family members of the students and the teachers. The overall result of the mock Common Wealth Games was Mauritius, Jamaica and India which were the three leading countries at their respective positions. The other guest on the occasion was Mr. V. P. Rao, Director, Technical and Training Education with the Government of India.
