New Delhi, 21 July 2018 Apeejay School, Pitampura organised its Annual Exhibition on the theme ‘Bhu se Brahamand Tak’ on 21st July 2018. The Exhibition intrigued the inquisitive nature of students offering them a sea with endless possibilities making them delve into the world of exploration. The function was presided over by esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Shibendu Shankar Ray, Director, Mahalanobis National Crop Forecast Centre (MNCFC) of Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Scientist G-Space Applications Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
The simplicity in the ways he connected Science to everyday life was an inspiration for the students. He spoke to students about how India is a leader in satellite launch and how satellites help in providing data in different fields of science/ technology/ agriculture/ meteorology which helps us to manage things.
‘Bhu Se Brahmaand Tak’ dealt with the discipline of Astrobiology which makes use of Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Biology, Ecology, Geography and Geology to investigate the possibility of life in other world and helps recognise biospheres that might be different from that of Earth.
Students displayed models, project files, charts and documentaries that wonderfully discovered the world and beyond. They dealt with different themes like ‘The creation of universe’, ‘Basis of evolution’ and ‘Different space research centers’. Even the parents joined in the journey of exploration through enthusiastic participation in the competitions adding to extravaganza like model making, quiz & poster designing. Adding to the extravaganza, students presented cultural items like dance and a presentation by the School orchestra ‘SYMPHONY’ which left everyone stamping their feet to its melodious tunes.
We, at Apeejay, follow our legacy and continue to leave behind the tried & tested methods of learning and experiment with new ways & styles of understanding and the exhibition was another milestone in our journey towards excellence.
