Delhi, November 26, 2022: Apeejay School, Pitampura, celebrated its Annual Appreciation Day ‘Chirag Jal Uthe’ … Let there be light…on 26th and 27th November 2022 in the school premises, amidst great zing and exuberance.

The two-day spectacular event was presided over by Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education. Mrs.Cheshtha Yadav, IAS was the distinguished Chief Guest; Renowned Kathak Dancer, Ms Geetanjali Lal, was the Guest of Honour on Day 1 while Day 2 was graced by Ms Ranjana Prasad, Member DCPCR, as Eminent Guest and Padmashri Geeta Mahalik as the Guest of Honour. On both days, the school put on scintillating shows with students showcasing myriad talents. It commenced with the welcoming of the revered guests by the School Band, followed by the lighting of the lamp ceremony. A mellifluous performance by the orchestra, Symphony held everyone spellbound.

Thundering applause from the audience for every act, dance, song by the students added to the zeal. Drama adaptations of Shakespeare’s renowned works- “Romeo and Juliet” and “Macbeth” left everyone in awe.

The Principal, Mrs Veena Goel, presented the School Report which spotlighted the major accomplishments and accolades of the School. The Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain and the President of the School’s Interact Club also highlighted the various achievements of the School. The much-awaited award ceremony felicitated the prize winners with medals and trophies.

The Hindi Drama staged by the students was yet another highlight of the events which came to a close with performances on the theme of illumination and incandescence.
