(Let's begin with the discipline of Yog)

To appreciate the art of Yoga and to celebrate International Yoga Day, Apeejay School, Pitampura came up with a 10 days series - '10 Din Yog K' starting from 17th June 2021. In this series, each day a video showing an asana being done by the Yoga teacher Ms. Nitasha Garg along with the students of the Yoga club were shared with the students. The students, their parents, and grandparents learnt the correct way of performing the asana and then they shared their pictures of doing the same.

On the 7th International Yog divas Apeejay School Pitampura organized a Yog series - "10 din Yog k" to celebrate, promote & popularise Yog amongst all.

The series consisted of asanas of sitting, standing, and lying, including simple stretching, bendings, twisting, and balancing. The series has a simple but wholesome sequence of asanas designed for all. It can be easily performed by anyone sitting in the comfort zones of their homes. Practising yoga is an effective way to imprint positivity into the minds. It brings steadiness, comfort, gentleness relaxation, and joy.

Yog practice should not be limited up to some special day, make it a part of your daily routine and practice every day to contribute towards your health & well-being. Maintain an equilibrium in all aspects of your life.

International Yoga Day Assembly

Dedication House of Apeejay School, Pitampura conducted a Yoga Day Assembly on 21st June 2021. It aimed to develop the habit of Yoga among people so that they can enjoy more peace of mind and self-awareness, which is essential for a stress-free existence.

The program started with expressing gratitude to the Sun with Surya Namaskar followed by a dance by our young embellished dancers. Three students of Class IX stressed the importance of Yoga and the need for yogic exercises. Everyone tried to get the asana perfectly and it was a pleasure to watch them. It was a delight to watch Krit Dua reciting a wonderful poem. Everyone learnt the correct way of deep belly breathing. Hanuv Garg with his speech spread positivity all around.

The meeting culminated with the appreciation and kind words of our Vice-Principal Sir Dr Sujeet Eric Masih. He stated, “Yoga in Sanskrit means, ‘Union’- Union between the body, mind, and soul.” The meeting ended joyfully with a pledge for continuing this valuable art of Yoga.
